Overview

The Performance Based Logistics Organic (PBLO) provides technical and training support for C4

ISR and C5

ISR programs, including Ships Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE), Naval Modular Automated Communications System (NAVMACS), Ships Closed Circuit Television (SCCTV), and URC
109 platforms and associated Depot Level Repairables (DLRs). Responsibilities include conducting technical evaluations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and depot-level repairs to ensure system reliability and operational readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical evaluations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of Depot Level Repairable (DLR)
  • Provide technical support to resolve Fleet Casualty Reports (CASREPs)
  • Assist with maintaining and updating Bench Stock Repair Parts
  • Assist with Annual Future Demand Analysis (Technical maintenance requirements)
  • When necessary, provide on-site technical assistance/support to fleet activities
  • When necessary, provide fleet helpdesk support and serve as a technical liaison between the fleet and the NAVSUP PBLO command
  • Review installation drawing packages
  • Attend weekly Tier I and Tier II meetings to review actions and make recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with Allowance Parts Lists
  • Provide oversight on maintenance schedule adherence and progress reports
  • Perform Beyond Economical Analyses on Depot Level Repairable (DLR) material returned from fleet - Assist gov't with developing, reviewing project documents
  • Provide detailed repair and testing reports for PBLO items
  • Demonstrate expert experience using electronic test equipment such as (Signal Generators, Multimeters, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers)
  • Input daily repair log information using MS Access databases
  • Desired:

    Possess working knowledge of shipboard SSEE_E, SSEE_F, and SSEE Mods systems
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from:
    Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) with degree/formal training or five (5) years with HS/GED of practical experience to include design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
  • An individual shall have notable experience performing one or a combination of the following duties:
    • Constructing components, subunits, or simple models, or adapting standard equipment
    • May troubleshoot and correct malfunctions
    • Following a specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment
    • Conducting various tests or experiments, which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures, as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment, and recording test data
    • Extracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation
    • Assisting in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts
    • Developing information concerning previous operational failures and modifications, and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.
