Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the senior professional engineer facilitating a team of lower graded engineers/architects at AFRC installations from a variety of disciplines and technical staff on large and complex design and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize professional knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical engineering to work on large and complex design and construction projects and to manage an installation Energy Program mandated to reduce overall energy consumption for existing facilities and utility systems.
- Manage utility contracts, agreements, metering, and utility budget development.
- Provide professional advice on sustainable design and energy efficiency practices.
- Manage the Energy Management Steering Group (EMSG) in accordance with Air Force and DoD policies.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and best practices to ensure that facility equipment, projects, and strategies remain relevant and functional.
Applicants must have a positive degree requirement and be able to provide transcripts if required. Preferred qualifications include professional experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering and experience managing energy programs and utility contracts.
