Employee‑owned HDR is seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic and technical leadership in our growing coastal engineering and restoration program. Our portfolio of award‑winning coastal projects showcases our depth and breadth across architecture, federal, transportation and water resources. HDR is ranked #5 in ENR's 2025 Top Water Design Firm rankings.
We are seeking coastal engineers who can perform analysis and design of coastal restoration projects including marsh restoration and beach nourishment; shoreline protection projects such as revetments and breakwaters; and navigation projects including dredging, marinas and harbors. Experience creating plans and specifications, as well as project management, is a major plus. Familiarity with wave growth and transformation, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics, littoral processes, sediment transport, marine dredging, and basic geotechnical or structural systems is preferred.
