Civil Project Manager I or II - $5K Sign-On Bonus

This position leads a design team and manages all aspects of project delivery, from pursuing opportunities to delivering on-time and on-budget projects. Responsibilities include proposal preparation, project staffing, and maintaining client relationships. The role involves guiding schedules, scopes, budgets, quality control, and compliance with corporate policies, and supporting business development.

• Serve as Senior Technical Advisor and Subject Matter Expert.
• Identify new markets and clients to bring in new projects, while maintaining positive relationships with existing clients.
• Prepare proposals and qualification statements, including estimates and presentations.
• Prepare project schedules, scopes, and budgets, ensuring on-time and on-budget performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and Project Planning Worksheets.
• Determine project team makeup and assign workloads.
• Conduct project kick-off meetings to communicate and obtain agreement on project schedules.
• Monitor and follow up on client invoicing and payments.
• Oversee the design phase, including design reviews and progress reports.
• Manage participation in bidding phase and coordinate responses to contractor questions.
• Manage the construction phase according to contract requirements.
• Respond promptly to requests for information or problems, maintaining effective communication.
• Ensure quality control procedures are implemented and maintained.
• Provide guidance and training to technical support personnel.
• Coordinate with other groups for project support.
• Close out projects in accordance with established procedures.

• Experience:
  
  8+ years of engineering design consulting experience and 3-5 years of project management experience.
• Skills:
  
  Strong supervisory, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, and project management abilities.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical software.
• Licenses:
  Valid Driver’s License.

• Degree: BS in Civil Engineering or a technical equivalent.
• Certification:
  Professional Engineering License (willing to obtain a PE license in GA).

• Ability to travel to other Cranston office locations:
  Augusta, GA;
  Charleston, SC;
  Aiken, SC;
  Bluffton, SC. Light travel as necessary.

• General:
  Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lifting:
  Frequently lift up to 25 pounds; infrequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Vision:
  Close, distance, color, depth, and focus required.
