Welding Adjunct Instructors

Overview

Trident Technical College in North Charleston, SC is seeking Welding Instructors. These positions are based on TTC's Thornley Campus and involve teaching day and evening programs. Instructors will teach entry-level through advanced classes in Gas Metal Arc Welding - Pulse, oxyacetylene cutting processes, and related courses in blueprint reading, metallurgy, welding safety, and weld inspection, testing, and codes. Day programs are 7:00 am–3:30 pm, and the evening program operates M–F 2:30 pm–11:00 pm.

• Teach day and evening welding programs, including entry-level through advanced classes in Gas Metal Arc Welding - Pulse.
• Incorporate oxyacetylene cutting processes and related courses such as blueprint reading, metallurgy, welding safety, weld inspection, testing, and codes.
• Adhere to program schedules (Day: 7:00 am–3:30 pm; Evening: Monday–Friday, 2:30 pm–11:00 pm).

• Training/teaching experience and recent welding experience.
• Must pass certification tests in each welding process taught.
• Hourly rate is $30–$40 per hour.

• Teaching/training experience and an associate degree in a related area are preferred.
