Position Description

This full-time, tenure-track position in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship focuses on teaching and research in organizational behavior, human resources, strategic leadership, and/or related areas of organizational management and leadership.

Academic rank will depend upon qualifications and experience. This appointment is tenure-track. Faculty are reviewed annually and considered for tenure and promotion following institutional policies. Credit toward tenure may be granted for prior full-time academic experience, consistent with university guidelines.

Additional teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate courses on general management topics.

This role includes active engagement of students and service to the institution.

Employment will begin in August 2026, or earlier if the selected candidate is available.

Position Requirements (Qualifications)

Required minimum qualifications:

  • PhD in Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Leadership or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) institution. ABD candidates will be considered.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses related to your qualifications.
  • Ability to sustain research activities leading to publications aligned with AACSB standards.
  • Experience in student engagement and institutional service appropriate to academic rank.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in organizational behavior, leadership, or human resources, especially in programs for organizational design, development, and/or change.
  • Ability to teach upper-division undergraduate courses, especially strategic management.
  • Experience with or understanding of military organizations.
  • Experience with online learning management systems (Canvas) and online teaching.
Responsibilities

Teach management, human resources, and organizational behavior/leadership across a broad range of contexts and competencies.

Teaching load: 3 courses per semester. Develop undergraduate or master’s level courses or a combination, and teach in-person and online via Canvas.

Teach general and specialized courses in management and organizations at undergraduate and graduate levels as needed by the Department.

Opportunities for summer teaching and additional compensation may be available.

Engage in research in the academic discipline that meets AACSB scholarly requirements.

Engage with students including academic advising.

Engage in institutional service, program assessment, and professional development appropriate to faculty role, rank, and tenure timeline; contribute to scholarship and professionalism in the field.

As the department expands, you will help shape undergraduate and MBA curriculum development and delivery.
