Overview
Job Responsibilities:
The Department of History, Humanities, and Languages is looking to fill a full-time Philosophy Instructor position starting in Fall 2026. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, academic advising, participation in planning and revising curriculum, maintaining office hours, teaching varying schedules at a variety of campuses, using technology in instruction, and employing a variety of teaching methods.
This position requires a master's degree in philosophy OR a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in philosophy.
Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching at the college level and the demonstrated ability to work as a member of an academic support team is preferred. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential. The candidate must be willing to teach in-person at multiple locations, develop and teach online courses, and be able to function in a fast-paced environment characterized by continuous changes in information technology.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience, with a minimum starting salary of $80,000.
