Elementary Library Media Specialist- School

The Library Media Specialist demonstrates the ability tocreate a learning environment that encourages reading and informationtechnology literacy. The Library Media Specialist leads and models the effective use of the current information mediaof the day and uses effective techniques in communication and instructionaltechnology to foster active inquiry and collaboration. The Library Media Specialist is able to adapt to and implement educational change initiatives andcomply with applicable policies and procedures.

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Education) or related field.
• Understanding and experience with curriculum design,planning and instruction
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
