Summary:

Work ShiftJob Description
This position reports directly to the Associate Registrar. It performs all duties associated with the registration and enrollment practices, data processing and reporting. Establishes and maintains academic records according to recognized policies and procedures; recommends changes in policies and procedures to improve programs. Consults, advises and provides guidance to faculty and Dean's office student services staff to resolve problems when policies and/or procedures are misinterpreted or are not observed.
Provides academic information to internal offices, licensing boards, and state and federal agencies.
- Records:
Establishes and maintains student records according to established policies and procedures. Responsible for the accuracy of student academic data. Analyzes and prepares student data and generates statistical reports as requested by the program to internal offices, licensing boards, and state and federal agencies. Prepares, writes, and maintains office procedures specific to assigned academic programs. - Registration:
Activates courses, registers students, records and verify grades for all students in assigned college(s). Performs grade audits to ensure all students are achieving the required GPA to maintain enrollment. Evaluates functional procedures continually, makes recommendations concerning improvements, updates procedural manuals and assists in timely implementation of any changes. - Graduation & Transcripts:
Performs degree audits to ensure all graduating students have completed necessary degree requirements. Receives and processes degree verifications and licensure boards. Some may require microfilm research. Ensures forms are completed using accurate records and answers questions from students and/or alumni. Provides accurate academic transcripts for administration and for applications for licensing by health regulatory agencies. - Communication & Policy:
Consults, advises and provides guidance to faculty and Dean's office student services staff to resolve problems when policies and/or procedures are misinterpreted or are not observed. Advises college-level student services coordinators regarding course requirements, university policies, program degree requirements, student holds. Communicates with college faculty and staff. Independently makes decisions regarding release of academic information based on FERPA and university policy. - Archiving:
Creates permanent archive files, including scanning and linking of archived paper copies of discipline letters, grade changes, Dean’s letters, Leave of Absence/Withdrawal and dismissals. Scans and links new course request forms. - Other Duties:
Participates in general OEM functions, collaboration between teams, Commencement preparation and execution, special workshops, and other situational duties. Seeks opportunities for professional development.
A bachelor's degree and one year experience in student services programs.
Physical RequirementsNote:
The following descriptions are applicable to this section:
Continuous - 6-8 hours per shift;
Frequent - 2-6 hours per shift;
Infrequent - 0-2 hours per shift. Ability to perform job functions in various positions and environments as listed, including lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted and other mobility requirements. Computer literacy is required.
