Overview
Safe Sitter® Program Instructor St. Andrew's Parks and Playground is searching for a Safe Sitter® instructor for our summer camp program. The ideal teammate is passionate about teaching and empowering young adults and is excited to be part of a team that has enriched lives through parks, recreation, and wellness for over 80 years!
Responsibilities- Deliver the Safe Sitter® program content in an engaging and informative manner.
- Educate and train adolescents in important life and safety skills with a focus on babysitting responsibilities.
- Ensure participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to be responsible and safe babysitters.
- Support youth development and engagement during the summer program.
- Certified Safe Sitter® instructor or willingness to obtain certification prior to the beginning of camp.
- Interest in working with and developing youth aged 11-14 years.
- Great opportunity for individuals pursuing Early Education or related college majors.
- Seasonal position, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 12:30pm, with two one-week sessions on June 8-12 and June 22-26 during the summer break.
- Paid pre-camp training sessions on select dates between May 11 and May 29
. Training starts at 6:00 PM and concludes typically by 8:00-9:00 PM. Attendance is mandatory, with case-by-case exceptions subject to Program Director approval. - Application process is quick and easy.
- Salary/Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
