7 On / 7 Off | Epic EMR | Onsite Call House | Long-Term Coverage Opportunity
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist for a full-time locum tenens assignment in Dillon, South Carolina. This is a well-structured 7-on/7-off program with strong physician support, a manageable census, and a collaborative clinical culture.
This opportunity is ideal for hospitalists seeking schedule consistency, reasonable patient volumes, and long-term stability in a rural community hospital setting.
Assignment Snapshot
- Location: Dillon, South Carolina

- Schedule:
- 7 on / 7 off
- Schedule cycle runs Tuesday – Monday
- Onsite coverage 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- EMR: Epic
- Hospitalist Coverage:
- 2 Hospitalists onsite at all times
- No APP coverage
- Call Model:
- Call alternates every other day/night
- 24-hour call coverage (7a–7p), except Mondays
- Physician on call handles:
- All ED admissions
- Floor calls
- Transition of Call:
- Incoming physician assumes call Monday evening at 7:00 PM
- Call transitions Tuesday morning at 7:00 AM
- Average Daily Census (Service): ~21 patients
- Per-Physician Census: ~10–22 patients/day
- ICU:
- Open ICU (6 beds)
- Low acuity
- Procedures preferred but not required
- Required Clinical Skills:
- EKG interpretation
- Stress test interpretation
- Meetings:
- Daily multidisciplinary rounds (Monday–Friday)
- Housing:
- Onsite physician call house available
- Board Status: Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine
- Licensure:
- Active South Carolina medical license
- Active CSR
- DEA:
- Must be eligible for permanent South Carolina registration
- Experience: Prior hospitalist experience preferred
- Predictable 7-on/7-off schedule
- Manageable census with two hospitalists onsite
- Epic EMR
- No APP supervision
- Supportive rural facility with strong team culture
- Onsite call house for convenience
- Preference to onboard one consistent physician , creating continuity and stability
