Overview
Job Description Caitlin Dirkes Design is looking for an interior design Assistant that will work closely with the principal designer to support residential design projects from concept through execution. This role is for someone who is highly organized, self driven, technically skilled and eager to learn and grow with a small hands on studio environment. This is a part-time position with flexible hours (15-20 hours/week).
This job is mostly in person, with an option for some remote hours. Must be comfortable working in a home design studio with a rambunctious dog.
- Assist with design development, space planning and project documentation.
- Draft and revise floor plans, elevations and details in AutoCAD.
- Prepare presentations, mood boards and client facing materials.
- Organize project files and schedules.
- Keep the office running smoothly and efficiently.
- Support sourcing, specifications and general studio tasks.
- Communicate with various workrooms, including travel to and from.
- Assist in social media and marketing efforts.
- Occasional admin (billing, purchase orders, etc).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Punctual, reliable and professional.
- Passionate about interiors.
- Self starter that can manage tasks independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to document projects throughout many phases for social media.
Caitlin Dirkes Design is a boutique residential and commercial interior design studio in Charleston, SC. From builds to ground up renovations and detail oriented decorating, the studio provides a wide-range of interior design and decorating services for clients throughout the country.
