Landscape Architect Director

An established, multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Director of Landscape Architecture to lead and grow its landscape practice in Charleston. This is a senior leadership role for a seasoned professional who is passionate about design excellence, team development, and strategic growth.

The Director of Landscape Architecture will provide creative, technical, and operational leadership for a diverse portfolio of projects across public and private sectors. This individual will play a key role in shaping the vision of the landscape practice, mentoring staff, and collaborating with internal and external partners.

• Provide leadership and direction for the landscape architecture team
• Oversee design quality from concept through construction
• Manage and contribute to a range of complex projects
• Support business development efforts and client relationships
• Collaborate closely with other disciplines and leadership teams
• Mentor and develop staff, fostering a positive and inclusive culture
• Contribute to strategic planning and growth of the practice

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
• Licensed Landscape Architect (or ability to obtain licensure)
• 10+ years of professional experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Strong design sensibility and technical expertise
• Experience managing teams, projects, and client relationships
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
