Aboutthe role
We’re looking for a Creative Designer to support our marketing team by bringing ideas to life across digital, print, and video. This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role that works closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to create high‑quality, visually compelling assets aligned with our brand and business goals.
The ideal candidate is a strong visual thinker who is highly skilled in modern design tools and excited to collaborate while executing creative direction. You are both a strong designer and a skilled storyteller, able to move seamlessly between static and motion creative.
You will work closely with marketing, sales, product development, and e‑commerce teams to ensure every piece of creative reflects the craftsmanship and soul of the Smithey brand.
Key Responsibilities- Design and produce digital and print assets, including emails, digital and print ads, social media graphics, catalogs, packaging, and event collateral
- Support website design updates and refinements to ensure a polished, on‑brand digital shopping experience
- Edit existing video footage into sizzle reels, ads, and other marketing content
- Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple creative projects simultaneously
- Organize and maintain all digital assets within our DAM
- Coordinate with external partners, printers, and vendors to ensure production quality and brand standards
- Stay up to date on creative trends, tools, and best practices in digital and visual storytelling
- 2–3 years of experience in graphic design, creative production, or a related role
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Figma, and UX tools
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in visual design
- Some video editing experience is required
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo) and social media formats is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects
- Passion for craftsmanship, storytelling, and the Smithey brand aesthetic
Location: Charleston, SC
Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours per week
