Charleston Tents and Events is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a motivated College of Charleston student studying Construction Management or a related field. This hands-on role will provide real-world experience in temporary structure installations, logistics, and on-site project coordination for high-end events across the Low country.
About the PositionAssist in the planning and installation of event tents and temporary structures
Support site prep, layout, and equipment logistics
Gain exposure to permitting, safety standards, and structural planning unique to the event industry
Work alongside seasoned professionals to understand timelines, crew coordination, and job site management
Help track materials, schedules, and progress using basic project management tools
Learn how construction management principles apply in fast-paced, client-facing environments
What You’ll DoWhat We’re Looking ForCurrently enrolled College of Charleston student (Construction Management, Project Management, or related field)
Strong interest in construction, logistics, and the events industry
Physically able to assist with site work and installations
Detail-oriented with good communication and time management skills
Willingness to work outdoors and adapt to changing job site conditions
Availability to work flexible hours, including some weekends
Direct field experience in construction logistics and management
Exposure to real-world projects with varying scale and complexity
Networking with industry professionals
Opportunity to translate classroom learning into practical skills
