Estimator, Construction, Building & Residential Construction

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Communicate effectively as part of a team

* Develop and present building estimates and feasibility studies

* Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents

* Maintain technical knowledge of building components and their functions

* Understand building component life cycles and maintenance requirements

* Gather data, compile information, and prepare detailed reports

* Provide technical guidance and coordination with architects, engineers, and subcontractors

* Understand operating practices of construction, architectural, and building firms

* Organize resources and establish priorities to meet deadlines

* Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes and regulations

* Assist with contract review and scope evaluation

* Make sound operating, administrative, and procedural decisions

* Understand procurement rules and regulations

* Assess contract compliance and quality of materials and services

* Apply budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles

* Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements /

Experience:

* Commercial drywall and framing construction background

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

* Proven work ethic with the ability to multitask and remain focused

* Team-oriented mindset with leadership potential and a desire to grow

* Customer-focused approach with a professional and positive attitude

* Knowledge of drywall and ceiling systems, including labor, materials, and installation methods

* High attention to detail

* Proficient with estimating software such as Quick Bid and On-Screen Takeoff
