The Grading Division is in the Construction Group. Our grading crews build the foundations for our projects. Our grading crews will build large commercial sites, widen highways and interstates, and work on special projects including building the new Hugh Leatherman Terminal for the SC Ports Authority.

This person gets to operate a variety of earth moving equipment (i.e. sweeper trucks, rollers, front end loaders, and backhoes, off road trucks, etc.). This person will also perform other tasks associated with the grading operations.

• Perform tasks involving physical labor building, highway, and heavy construction projects.
• Operate equipment around people and highways.
• Operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
• Prepare and stabilize soil and other material.
• Maintain equipment to keep best of class standard.
• May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris, etc.
• Communicate with team continuously to meet production and quality goals.
• Perform any other duty as specified by the site supervisor.

• You have 2-3 years of experience as an operator
