St. Andrew's Family Fitness Plus, a subdivision of St. Andrew's Parks and Playground, is searching for a Mermaid Camp Counselor
. The ideal teammate is passionate about empowering others and is excited to be part of a team that has enriched lives through parks, recreation, and wellness for over 80 years. St. Andrew's Parks and Playground Summer Camps are a magical place where imagination comes to life. Our Wonder-Water Mermaid (& Merman) Camp offers children ages 8 - 14 a whimsical, water-based experience combining fantasy, fitness, and fun.

We’re looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Mermaid Camp Counselors
, bringing the wonder of mermaid life to young campers. Not only will you teach them to swim in their tails, you will also foster conversation about ocean conservation and environmentalism around St. Andrew's Family Fitness and at the South Carolina Aquarium.

The Wonder-Water Mermaid Camp will be held for four weeks this summer,
Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 12:00pm for the following dates:
June 8 - 12, June 22 - 26, July 6 - 10, and July 20 - 24, 2026
. Mermaid Camp Counselors are expected to work from 8:30 - 12:30 to help with set-up and clean-up.

• Support delivery of Wonder-Water Mermaid Camp activities, including guiding campers in swimming with tails.
• Foster conversation about ocean conservation and environmentalism.
• Assist with set-up and clean-up before and after camp sessions.
• Provide a positive, engaging, and safe experience for campers aged 8-14.

• Position Title: Mermaid Camp Counselor
• Division/Department: Family Fitness Plus / Aquatics
• Reports To: Aquatics Safety Coordinator
• Salary/Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
• Benefits: Full family membership to the fitness center;
  Medical Care Membership available with low ($70) monthly premiums.
