Junior Accountant (Startup Environment) – Charleston, SC

About Us

Zero Industrial is a fast-growing startup in Charleston, SC, building next-gen energy solutions. We’re looking for a part-time Junior Accountant who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, learn quickly, and make an impact. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly with our VP of Finance & Accounting, manage daily accounting tasks, and help us leverage modern tools (including AI) to work smarter.

• Process invoices, schedule and track payments, and manage vendor relationships.
• Prepare and post journal entries in Quick Books Online.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations (including Ramp transactions).
• Track and manage contract renewals, terminations, and compliance dates.
• Generate financial reports to help guide decision-making.
• Explore and implement tech and AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• 2–3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (startup or small business a plus).
• Strong Quick Books Online skills (or similar software).
• Detail-oriented with accurate reconciliations and clean record-keeping.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• A problem-solver who embraces new tools and technology.
• Professional, trustworthy communicator.

• Location: In-person, Charleston, SC (Industrious office building)
