Job Description
The position supports quality and production departments to assure product quality meets required standards through visual inspection and final product control, according to inspection methods (visual, RRO). Verifies conformance of the product, works according to technical norms, quality and safety procedures. Rectifies quality variations of the product by performing repairs identified by graders and interested parties within the quality department.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and rectify gaps in product quality to assure required standards
- Classification, repair, and quality sorting of defects following the CVI
- Product parameter measurement, quality category selection, marking and proper identification
- Record keeping and necessary documentation together with the inspection process
- Complete inspection activities and provide real-time feedback to responsible parties on adverse trends of product quality
- Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes
- Selection of tires for run out test, radial force variation test, disk/rim preparation; maintain machines; transport tires with forklifts or manually
- Transport tires to the repair area, prepare tools, and grade repaired tires
- Painting of tires for final appearance
- Maintain 5S standards in the workstation
- High School Diploma
- Quality experience preferred
- Good physical condition (occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to use gauges and measurement tools
- Crane Training
- Pallet Jack Certification
