A rewarding opportunity is available for a registered nurse specializing in intensive care to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Location:
Charles City, IA offers a welcoming community with charming small-town character, rich history, and access to natural parks and recreational activities. The area provides a peaceful environment with convenient amenities, making it an excellent place to live and work.
Schedule:
- 7:00 pm to 7:30 am shifts
- Every third weekend and every other holiday on call (EOH)
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients' conditions, responding swiftly to changes
- Administer medications, treatments, and life-support measures as needed
- Utilize advanced nursing skills in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and other ICU protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care
Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a focus or experience in ICU nursing
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments
- Ability to provide empathetic support to patients and families during challenging times
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and clinical documentation standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
