Job Description
This 1st shift Aseptic Technician II position is responsible for executing department-specific tasks in accordance with all applicable GMPs and compliant with corporate/site procedures, regulations, and policies. TCO works with primary chicken embryo fibroblast cells.
TCO: The technician will start and finish a serial of vaccine production, including preparing cell cultures, infecting cells, harvesting cells, blending serials, and filling serials. The department handles embryos for further manufacturing.
WORKING HOURS
- Tuesday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Execution of aseptic techniques and clean room procedures.- Maintain appropriate departmental GMP documentation.
- Execute all written procedures, including batch records and SOPs.
- Follow and comply with all site safety procedures.
- Operate departmental equipment, including setup and takedown.
- Work effectively in a team environment and communicate with multiple departments.
Perform environmental monitoring, cleaning, and staging of clean rooms.Accurately document production activities on paper and in computer systems.Wear clean room gowning as required.Apply aseptic processing skills while working in a small team within a clean room setting.Manipulate roller bottles.Set up, operate (fill), and tear down fill line equipment.Mentor and train colleagues as needed.Provide departmental oversight as requested, including shift changes and schedule adjustments.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required.Post-secondary education in sciences or related disciplines preferred.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and/or at the Aseptic Technician I level is beneficial.TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Good mathematical, scientific, and computer skills preferred.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills required.Excellent communication skills required.Leadership and decision-making skills are beneficial.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, and work for long periods.Ability to wear a respirator.Ability to reach above shoulder level, bend, stoop, push, pull, and handle objects frequently.Willingness to work scheduled 40 hours with potential overtime.Comfort working in varying temperatures.Frequent lifting and carrying 5 to 25 lbs.Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting.Repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, and fingers.Additional employment policies and legal disclosures follow, emphasizing equal opportunity and proper application procedures, which are standard and do not require revision here.
