QA Document Controller - Construction Projects

A well-established international engineering and construction services provider is seeking a QA Document Controller to support the delivery of complex, high-quality projects. This organisation delivers multidisciplinary engineering solutions across sectors including mechanical, electrical, fire protection, energy, and advanced building technologies.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a structured quality environment, supporting project teams through robust document control and QA/QC processes on technically demanding projects.
The Role
As a QA/QC Document Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring project documentation is accurately managed, compliant with quality requirements, and issued in line with project milestones. You will work closely with Quality Managers, QA/QACX leads, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, both on-site and in an office-based setting.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with Quality Managers and QACX personnel to support project QA processes
Carry out general administrative duties, including accurate data entry and system updates
Maintain and update project quality trackers and registers
Ensure timely upload of tagging, commissioning, and quality documentation to client portals
Interface with internal Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Maintain and manage BIM 360 issues, reviews, and document uploads
Organise documentation in accordance with agreed electronic document control structures
Maintain and update asset registers, commissioning documentation registers, and closeout/handover records
Issue technical submittals for review across all document types
Create, issue, and maintain minutes for QACX meetings (virtual and in-person)
Skills & Experience
2-3 years' experience in a similar document control or QA/QC role within the construction or engineering sector preferred
Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Google Workspace tools
Previous experience using document control platforms such as BIM 360 or similar systems is advantageous
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
Training on internal systems will be provided
