Position Summary

This exciting role offers exposure to bleeding-edge AI technology while working directly with customers to translate actuarial specifications into production-ready code. You'll be at the forefront of how AI transforms traditional actuarial practice, leveraging advanced tools to accelerate model development and testing.

Key Responsibilities

Understand and leverage Swallow's AI platform to build and test customer GLM specifications into production-ready deployments

Understand complex rating structures and actuarial logic that needs to be built within the Swallow platform

Debug, test and optimise GLM implementations for accuracy and performance

Guide customers through the Swallow platform and assist them in model building and testing workflows

Help shape internal AI tools to better serve Swallow's customers

Required Qualifications

Necessary - Strong understanding of GLM theory and application in insurance pricing

Ideally - Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

Ideally - D emonstrable coding experience and talent

Technical Programming Skills

Basic proficiency in Python (preferred)

Experience or strong interest in working with AI tools and large language models

Understanding of software development principles, version control (Git), and testing frameworks

Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization

Insurance Knowledge

Deep understanding of GLM methodology, link functions, and model diagnostics

Knowledge of insurance pricing principles and rate making techniques

Familiarity with insurance product structures and regulatory requirements
