Role Overview :
We are seeking a proactive Quality Assistant to join a global engineering company based in Crewkerne, Somerset. This is a long-term temporary position offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to develop your career within a precision-driven environment. You will support the quality team in ensuring products meet strict customer requirements, providing accurate inspection and documentation, and assisting with wider quality processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with inspection activities to verify parts against drawings, specifications, and quality standards Generate and maintain accurate inspection records and reports Provide IT support within the quality function, including data entry, document control, and report preparation Support calibration of measurement instruments and ensure records are up to date Work with the Quality Manager and wider team to uphold standards and resolve quality issues Assist with audits, process route card reviews, and continuous improvement activities

What We're Looking For:

Strong IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office and quality-related software confidently Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Previous experience in a quality, inspection, or manufacturing support role (preferred) Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 environments (advantageous) A detail-oriented and methodical approach with excellent communication skills If you're a motivated individual with a passion for quality and excellent IT skills, we'd love to hear from you—apply today!
