Packing Operative

CNC Recruitment are seeking a Packing Operative for our client in Ilminster – a global automotive company.

Salary: £13.45 an hour

Shift: Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

• Receive products for packaging and verify their condition.
• Generate and print accurate labels for all products.
• Perform ultrasonic inspection of parts when required.
• Book products through the company ERP system.
• Package and label products in line with company and customer specifications.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the work area.
• Report any issues or concerns promptly to the Manager.
• Work flexibly as part of the team, supporting and training colleagues as needed.
• Rotate into the dispatch area to ensure external packing meets customer requirements.
• Assist with storing products and replenishing stock in designated areas.

• Minimum GCSE (Grade C or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science.
• Experience working to quality and customer standards.
• Ability to consistently meet high standards.
• Self‑motivated and adaptable team player.
• Ability to read and interpret batch cards accurately.
• Working knowledge of computerised systems and ERP software.
