5 West is a specialized 15-bed inpatient unit providing advanced care to patients undergoing abdominal transplant, urologic, and complex plastic surgery procedures. Urology& Plastic Surgery Collaboration
5 West serves as the inpatient hub for the nationally ranked UNC Urology Department, offering individualized, coordinated, and compassionate care alongside our expert physician partners. Additionally, our team provides specialized care for high-risk plastic surgery patients, often involving reconstructive grafts and complex wound management needs.
