Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and a minimum of one year as an RN.
Responsibilities- Position is based in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Care is provided to critically ill cardiothoracic patients with complex conditions
- Night shift position with hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Deliver competent clinical nursing care and coordinate patient care using the nursing process
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and evaluation
- Perform bedside point of care testing as needed for the patient care plan
- Will be involved in cost-effective care and unit performance improvement activities
- Expected to participate in education and development activities relevant to the patient population
- Must report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
- Active North Carolina or compact RN license required
- Minimum of one year nursing experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required from an accredited institution
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC) required
- Level 1 trauma experience required for consideration
