PositionSummary
This position will serve as Chief of the Division of Geriatrics and Director of the Center for Aging and Health. The Chief will hold an Open Rank faculty appointment with an at‑will Division Chief secondary appointment. The Division Chief must lead robust academic practice, promote development of expertise in research, medical education, complex clinical care, quality and safety. Responsibilities include administrative, clinical, research and educational duties.
Candidates should have a proven track record in basic and translational research, clinical research and/or clinical trials. Favored candidates will possess creativity, passion for academic leadership, superior communication, interpersonal skills and clear demonstration of the qualities needed to manage a multifaceted academic division and center; and the ability to inspire confidence in reasoning and decision‑making. The Chief reports directly to the Chair of Medicine and works collaboratively with division chiefs across the department and other senior leaders.

- Board certification in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics
- Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication skills
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. The position will report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
