The Maintenance Supervisor develops, plans, implements, and completes maintenance projects and programs at UNC Health Care System. This position ensures compliance in maintenance throughout the UNC Health Care System.

• Coordinates work flow between Facilities departments and assists in resolving operational problems. Maintains safety and health standards to ensure compliance with JCAHO, local, state, and federal regulations, and UNC HCS policies.
• Estimates job requirements, including staffing, equipment, parts, and supplies. Monitors work activity levels for proper resource allocation. Manages contractors within area of responsibility.
• Prepares reports, manages financial data, maintains records such as payroll, work orders, inventory, personnel, and material requisitions.
• Procures parts and services, oversees the safe operation of mechanical and power-driven equipment, and inspects facilities to meet maintenance objectives.
• Responds to inquiries from the public, patients, and staff. Monitors preventive maintenance programs and provides updates on new equipment and technology.
• Plans, schedules, trains, and supervises maintenance personnel. Assists in interviewing, selection, promotion, and evaluation of staff according to policies.

• High School diploma or GED.
• No licensure required, but depends on area of assignment.
• 10 years of progressive HVAC experience, including installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. CFC certification and N.C. Heating/Refrigeration Contractor licenses required.

Position is full-time, onsite, with a salary range of $26.59-$33.24/hr employment by NC Health, not state employment. Equal opportunity employer.
