Description
The Psychotic Disorders Unit (3 Neurosciences) is looking for a Nursing Assistant I to join their team.
Position Offering:
- Shift: Day & Night Rotating with rotating weekends and holidays
- Hours:
Full time; 36 Hours Per Week;
Three 12 hour shifts a week - Entity: UNC Medical Center
- Location:
Chapel Hill, NC
3 Neurosciences is an 18-bed inpatient psychiatric unit. The Psychotic Disorders unit serves adults with acute and chronic mental illnesses. Services typically include a thorough psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychoeducation groups, case management services, and discharge planning.
This position qualifies for an extensive benefit package including PTO hours, which are accrued based on the number of worked hours. This position requires the ability to attend the required weeklong hospital orientation offered every two weeks.
Orientation
Schedule:
Monday and Tuesday - In person from 8am to 4pm;
Wednesday - 8am to 10am Virtual and in person from 1pm to 5 pm; and Thursday and Friday - Virtual.
Education Requirements: None required as long as all other position requirements are met.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services;
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Professional Experience Requirements: Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: Fluent in verbal and written English language and able to develop basic computer skills.
