UNC Horizons is seeking a part-time licensed child and family therapist to work afternoons (M-Th; typically 2-6pm) as needed in the Chapel Hill area. Child therapist will work with current Child Therapist/Supervisor to assess and treat at-risk children ages 3-11. We use a dyadic treatment model, so familiarity with dyadic interventions is preferred, such as Child Parent Psychotherapy, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-up, TFCBT, etc.
Hours will vary based on case load but approximately 5-20 hours per week.
Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area of assignment. Some positions may require certification to practice as a certified or licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification Board.
Management PreferencesExperience working with at-risk children ages 3-11. Preferences for training in evidence-based modalities, such as TF-CBT, Circle of Security Parenting, Child Parent Psychotherapy, and Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up. Knowledge of or interest in gender-specific substance abuse treatment is preferred;
Experience working with justice-involve individuals, maternal/child health, child mental health, and substance use treatment.
Must be able to ascend/descend stairs. Duties to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
