UNC Horizons is seeking a full‑time licensed child and family therapist in the Chapel Hill area. Child therapist will work with current Child Therapist/Supervisor to assess and treat at‑risk children ages 3-11. We use a dyadic treatment model, so familiarity with dyadic interventions is preferred, such as Child Parent Psychotherapy, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch‑up, TFCBT, etc.
MinimumEducation and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area of assignment. Some positions may require certification to practice as a certified or licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification Board.
Management Preferences:Experience working with at‑risk children ages 3-11. Preferences for training in evidence‑based modalities, such as TF‑CBT, Circle of Security Parenting, Child Parent Psychotherapy, and Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch‑Up. Knowledge of or interest in gender‑specific substance abuse treatment is preferred;
Experience working with justice‑involve individuals, maternal/child health, child mental health, and substance use treatment.
Must be able to ascend/descend stairs. Duties to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
