Job Description

Hear Again America – Chapel Hill, part of a network of over 35 Hear Again America clinic locations nationwide, is seeking a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist to support the launch and grand opening of its Chapel Hill, North Carolina clinic in a short-term PRN capacity.

The PRN Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist will provide clinical coverage and patient care support during the clinic’s initial launch period, helping ensure a smooth opening and positive patient experience from day one. This role is expected to be approximately 3 days per week for 2–3 months, with scheduling coordinated around the clinic’s opening needs.

The provider will focus primarily on hearing evaluations, hearing aid consultations, fittings, and follow-up care for adult patients as the patient base is established.

This position is ideal for a clinician seeking short-term, flexible PRN work or supplemental income while contributing to the successful opening of a new clinic location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hearing evaluations and in-office consultations for adult patients
  • Recommend hearing aid solutions aligned with patient needs, lifestyle, and communication goals
  • Fit, program, verify, and adjust hearing aids using best-practice protocols
  • Provide counseling, troubleshooting, and follow-up care during the launch period
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with clinic leadership to support efficient clinic operations during opening weeks
Requirements
  • Active North Carolina Audiologist license or Hearing Instrument Specialist license (required)
  • Experience with hearing aid consultations, fittings, and follow-up care
  • Strong communication and patient counseling skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a new clinic environment
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
