The position of Chief Scribe is a leadership opportunity that offers exposure to clinic administration as well as Med Scribes Leadership. This position entails shared administrative responsibilities to maintain and grow a client site as well as the chance to learn to lead and train a team. These are invaluable skills for any professional to have in their tool belt for a professional career.
Individuals applying for this position should be team-oriented, capable of identifying individual and client needs, and comfortable with the basics of healthcare administration and program evaluation. In some instances, these responsibilities will be shared with another qualified member of the team to ensure balance in leadership and training of new staff. We do have several leadership opportunities available.
- Bachelor’s Degree (in the process of earning or have already received)
- Demonstrated capacity for leadership and administration/management
- Willingness to complete the necessary training and associated competency testing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Sufficient level competency of Epic utilization
- Commitment of up to 5-10 additional hours per week, in addition to scribing hours, for administrative tasks
- 6+ months of scribing experience preferred, but not necessary
- Experience working with multiple clinicians within the department is preferred
- Experience training new staff preferred
