Position Summary:
The Kenan‑Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking to fill one (1) clinical faculty position in the Accounting area with an anticipated start date of July 1 2026. The successful candidate will be a creative and effective teacher capable of contributing to the School’s programs, primarily to our Master of Accounting (MAC) and online MAC programs.
The majority of the teaching contributions will be in the field of Auditing, including possibly in areas such as accounting information systems. Additionally, the successful candidate may be expected to contribute to service (committee work, professional talks, mentoring) and impact activities (presentations at meetings and conferences, research, and publications in the field of interest) that positively enhance the School, business community, and society.
Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements:
Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting or Business prior to beginning work activities and can anticipate an initial appointment of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor, depending on credentials.
Preferred Qualifications , Competencies, and
Experience:
Preferably, applicants possess the versatility to teach other accounting courses beyond auditing such as financial reporting and financial statement analysis. Additionally, it is preferred that applicants have a minimum of two (2) years teaching experience that includes undergraduate or Master of Accounting programs.
