About the Institute:
The mission of the Institute for the Arts and Humanities (IAH) is to empower faculty to achieve their full potential by creating community and cultivating leadership. The IAH advances, advocates, and amplifies the arts and humanities through its Faculty Fellows Program; and by sponsoring conferences, lectures, and public conversations. It trains and supports current and emerging university leaders through the Academic Leadership Program.
The Institute promotes community through its Faculty Programs, which build mentoring networks for faculty at all stages of their academic careers.
The team comprises eight collaborative, hard working, and mission driven members. We work together on numerous projects, programs, and events to enhance the support we give to faculty. The team is diverse and intellectually curious. We keep meetings casual but efficient. We provide space for everyone to express themselves and make sure everyone is heard. Whenever possible, we try to find consensus or compromise.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. The Development Coordinator will provide administrative support for the development operations of the IAH. The position will be responsible for fundraising administrative support, weekly stewardship, donor/volunteer communications, advisory board relations support, advisory board meeting and development event coordination, gift processing, data management, solicitation crafting and planning, expense tracking, development operations scheduling, and day-to-day office management.
The position will also serve as a key liaison with the Arts and Sciences Foundation Office regarding gift processing including focus on the annual fund, gift/pledge corrections, solicitation, mailings, and stewardship reporting.
