The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UNC Chapel Hill is seeking a Board‑eligible or Board‑certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician who has completed a sub‑specialty fellowship in Cancer Rehabilitation. The role will focus on enhancing cancer services at UNC Hillsborough Hospital, providing inpatient and outpatient care, EMG services at UNC Medical Center, and outpatient services at UNC Rex. The appointment will include academic responsibilities such as teaching, research, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities- Provide inpatient care and consultations to cancer patients.
- Deliver outpatient clinical services and EMG services at UNC Medical Center.
- Develop and lead cancer rehabilitation programs.
- Engage in teaching, research, and administrative activities associated with the academic appointment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, resident education, fellowship development, and planning.
- Assume on‑call responsibilities as required.
- MD or DO with a North Carolina medical license (or willingness to obtain one).
- Board‑eligible or Board‑certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
- Completed sub‑specialty fellowship training in Cancer Rehabilitation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, research, and commitment to quality patient care.
- Interest in resident education and fellowship program development.
