Primary Purpose Of Organizational Unit The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Office of Support Services serves the needs of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry and guides its operations in meeting the requirements and commitments in teaching, patient care, research and administrative programs.

The Adams School of Dentistry is one of six health science schools (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, Public Health) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is the first dental school in the state of North Carolina. The ASOD consists of seven (7) Academic Departments:
Biomedical Sciences, Craniofacial and Surgical Care (Craniofacial Center, Geriatrics/Special Care, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Oral Medicine), Restorative Sciences (General Dentistry, Operative & Biomaterials and Prosthodontics), Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health, Orthodontics, Diagnostic Sciences (O ral Microbiology, Orofacial Pain/Sleep, Pathology and Radiology) and Periodontology, Endodontics and Dental Hygiene (one department). It is an exciting time to join the Adams School of Dentistry as we have finalized a new strategic plan and are embarking on team initiatives!
