Position Details
  • Auxiliary Services provides services to enhance campus life. Primary purpose of the Department is to provide mailing services to University Campus Departments, Faculty and Staff. University Mail Services picks up, sorts and delivers campus-wide, including off-campus locations; processes outgoing mail daily.
  • Position Summary: University Mail Services supports a consolidated mailing operation for campus departments including sorting and delivery of all USPS mail, parcels and accountable pieces, pickup and delivery to 190 buildings, supporting 560 delivery point locations (twice daily), distribution of internal campus documents and processing all outbound USPS mail in a centralized facility.
Minimum Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful candidate will have a majority of the following: a background in performing delivery or materials on an assigned route with customer interaction, knowledge of United States Post Office policies and procedures, proven history of working in a team environment; ability to work without close supervision, excellent driving record with defensive driving course.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Valid NC Driver’s License
Physical/Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift/move objects weighing up to 30 pounds, maneuver postal carts weighing up to 200 pounds, and drive a 12 foot box truck.
