This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

This position will perform a variety of work functions primarily to include:
  • Process and track payment requests, consultant payments, subcontractor invoices, gift cards, memberships, etc., and regular bookkeeping activities.
  • Make travel arrangements, prepare faculty, staff, and student intern's travel requests and expense reports and reconcile faculty and staff's travel and expense cards transactions.
  • Handle training logistics for FCRP child welfare and consulting training events
    • This includes: data entry, locating training sites, event planning, assisting with financial processing, utilizing computer software tools of data tracking, reporting and analysis, and as assigned assisting in special projects. Based on in-depth knowledge of the organization's training program, policies and procedures as well as of the training information system, this position is responsible for processing registrations, and resolving and anticipating problems with registrations demands and provide recommendations for solutions.

      This position is responsible for daily written and verbal communication with clients and public users of training information system database. The number of clients as an audience for written and verbal communication about training policies and procedures has doubled.
  • Serve as front line contact for the FCRP program, conveying information and problem-solving in person and via telephone/electronic means to individuals and groups including faculty, staff, stakeholders and state funders. Provides verbally and in writing explanations of program and procedural information to faculty, staff, training participants and others. Contacts training participants, vendors and others to provide or obtain information. Again, in order to serve this client population, the person in this position must have in-depth knowledge of the curriculum offered and the organization's policies and procedures.

    Four thousand (4,000) of these clients register for yearly 100 training events. The number of clients is expected to continue to increase.
  • New responsibilities include managing conference room schedule and providing orientation to meeting attendees on how to use communication equipment. In addition, based on extensive knowledge of the child welfare training system database, this position will compile training statistics (e.g., training location, attendance, frequency) for reports and in preparation of training calendar meetings. The person in this position will continue to actively participate in training calendar meetings.
  • Compose professional, clear, concise and grammatically correct information through email and other written correspondence directed to individuals and groups including clients, faculty, staff, training participants, stakeholders and state funders.
    • This includes verbal, written, and electronic communication with professional entities as well as the School's Business Office, Information Technology, Facilities Services, NC Division of Social Services, and 100 county Department of Social Services. Carefully proofreads and edits work prior to sending. Selects, understands and fully applies features of a variety of software programs, office tools and equipment, and training system databases.

      A new responsibility includes monitoring, reviewing and editing the written content of FCRP website and other social media outlets (e.g., Linked In, Instagram, Facebook).
  • Work requires knowledge of policies, procedures and information systems in order to communicate and process information. Range of duties include verifying data, report writing, summarizing and reconciling information, record management, data collection, compilation and analysis of training evaluations and compilation of data for statewide training information system.
  • This position is a full-time, hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in-person attendance.
