Overview
UNC Chapel Hill’s Office is seeking enthusiastic and organized individuals to join our team as Program/Registration Assistants. This is a temporary role supporting various college-access programs for rising high school seniors.
Position InformationThis is a temporary role in support of summer initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with the setup of registration areas, managing the registration process for program participants, and aiding in the breakdown of materials and equipment at the end of each event. The work schedule includes Saturdays 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM for May 30, June 6, and June 13, 2026, with an expectation to be available for all three dates.
Responsibilities- Assist with the physical setup of registration tables, signage, and program materials.
- Greet and welcome program participants and their families.
- Accurately check in and register students for programs.
- Distribute program materials and provide general program information.
- Help organize and manage registration flow to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with breakdown and cleanup of the registration area after each event.
- Collaborate effectively with program staff and other assistants to support event success.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in event support, registration, or customer service.
- Experience working with students, families, or in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available for three Saturday events:
May 30, June 6, and June 13. - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move light materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Previous event or registration experience is preferred but not required.
- Positive, helpful, and team-oriented attitude.
