Join our team at Chandlers Building supplies, a respected independent builder’s merchant serving the Southeast since 1993. With a commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, we are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG), the largest independent merchant group in the South of England.
We’re expanding our delivery team at our Petworth Branch and are looking for a dependable HGV Driver to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.
The RoleAs our HGV Driver, you’ll be the face of our business on the road. You’ll deliver building materials to sites and homes, ensuring timely and safe drop-offs while providing top-notch customer service
Key Responsibilities- Operate HGV vehicle for multi-drop deliveries
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Maintain accurate delivery records and tachograph data
- Uphold health & safety standards at all times
- Represent the company with professionalism and courtesy
- Valid HGV Category licence
- HIAB (preferred, training available)
- Experience in multi-drop or builders merchants (advantageous)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and safety-conscious
- Week 1 Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00
- Week 2 Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00
Saturday 08:00-12:00
