Job Summary

We are looking for a Lube Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong background in automotive. The day-to-day duties of this role include testing check systems to ensure they are working properly, driving vehicles for test purposes, and accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Applying lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance.
  • Lubricating wheel bearings to prevent excessive tire wear.
  • Performing engine cleanings to prevent rust formation.
  • Replacing cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
  • Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
  • Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed.
  • Thoroughly inspecting customers’ vehicles for oil leaks.
  • Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.
  • Notifying the Service Advisor when vehicle maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within scheduled time frames.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willing to submit and pass a pre-employment drug screen (THC not tested in pre-employment)
  • Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
  • Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
  • One year in a service department
