One of our clients in Chantilly, VA needs a software Quality Assurance Specialist for a permanent position.

• Position: Software Quality Assurance Specialist
• Location: Onsite
• Position Type: Permanent

Job Description:

• The Candidate shall develop, perform, and support manual and automated integration and regression testing
  
  The Candidate shall develop and maintain test plans and scripts to identify software problems and causes.
• The Candidate shall provide analysis and recommendations for automation of test suites.
• The Candidate shall develop automated scripts to decrease the time needed to perform testing.
• The Candidate shall develop automated scripts to decrease the likelihood of bugs or unplanned outages.
• The Candidate shall work with applications in a cloud environment.
• The Candidate shall work side by side with project teams on a daily basis to consult with the development and operations teams to test applications.
• The Candidate shall work in a team environment with candidates from multiple companies.
• The Candidate shall participate in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development cycle.
• The Candidate shall participate as a member of the agile development team.

Requirements:

• Software testing experience, including writing test automation scripts, building test automation frameworks, and working with automation tools.
• Review business / software requirements and provide inputs
• Prepare test cases, test scripts and test data
• Executes automated, manual functional, regression, and integration tests
• Report defects and assist in their understanding
• Analyze test results and track software testing metrics
• Prepare and present test reports
• Create and track testing documentation
• Familiar with JIRA
• Knowledgeable with agile development practices
