As a Senior Python Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and management of application development projects in support of the IT infrastructure. You will leverage your Python expertise and experience with Postgre

SQL databases to create and deploy applications, contribute to large-scale data processing, and support advanced analytics to enhance a forensic and investigative ecosystem.

• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph.
• This position is onsite 5/days a week in Chantilly, VA
• May require occasional travel for Program Increment planning sessions

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Python.
• Familiarity with the SAFe Agile framework.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing software solutions.

• Strong proficiency with Python, including its libraries and frameworks.
• Experience in system architecture design using Python.
• Strong experience working with Postgre
  
  SQL, including schema design and query optimization.

• Experience with Java and Spring (preferred).
• Experience with Django (preferred).
• Experience with data streaming and integration technologies such as Apache NiFi.
• Familiarity with Cribl.
• General understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies.
• Experience working in classified environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with Splunk.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Gov Cloud, SC2S, C2S).
• Understanding of Dev Sec Ops  practices and tools.
• Knowledge of performance optimization and scalability design.
• Awareness of security engineering principles.
• Understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements is a plus.

• Design, develop, test, and manage application development projects focusing on Python.
• Implement technical efforts using Python for data processing and computational modeling.
• Develop backend services using frameworks such as Django (preferred).

• Integrate third-party components and introduce new custom capabilities using Python.
• Contribute to Java/Spring-based components where applicable (preferred).
• Modify existing Python code and Postgre
  
  SQL database logic and recommend process improvements.
• Automate operations and maintenance tasks using Python and related automation tools.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
• Contribute to planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Participate in technical project milestone reviews and code architecture sessions.
• Provide resource estimation and development best practices knowledge transfer.
• Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
• Support the multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
