Role

Description:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will plan, design, and implement additions and changes to network hardware, infrastructure server environments, and operating systems. You will provide direct support in the day-to-day operations of network hardware and operating systems while maintaining the reliability and robustness of the underlying infrastructure that supports the forensic and investigative ecosystem across multi-enclave environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, coordinate, design, develop and implement additions and changes to network hardware, infrastructure server environments, and operating systems
* Provide direct support in day-to-day operations of network hardware and operating systems
* Troubleshoot at both physical and logical network levels
* Participate in planning, design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure
* Perform systems management and integration functions across multi-enclave environments
* Maintain network infrastructure standards including communication protocols such as TCP/IP
* Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems
* Ensure systems are current with approved patches and assist with certification and accreditation tasks
* Develop strategy for client/server systems and design infrastructure to support that strategy
* Advise on selection of technological purchases for processing, data storage, data access, and applications development
* Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
* Support Dev Sec Ops  practices and tools implementation

Qualifications:

Clearance Level:
* Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field

Experience:

* Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering or related field
* Experience with SAFe Agile framework
* Understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements
* Demonstrated experience designing and implementing secure systems in government environments Advanced proficiency with:
* * Virtualization technologies (VSphere, VXRail, Proxmox, Nutanix)
* Network administration and security
* Cloud platforms (AWS Gov Cloud, SC2S, C2S)
* Linux and Windows operating systems
* Windows Active Directory
* Network hardware (Cisco, Arista, Sonic Wall)
* Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
* Security accreditation processes Additional Technical Experience

Experience with :
* * Hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure
* Dev Sec Ops  practices and tools
* Elasticsearch, Splunk, and other data platforms
* Python and C# for automation and scripting
* Database technologies (SQL, MySQL, Postgre

SQL)
* LDAP/OpenLDAP, ADFS, Keycloak
* Tunneling protocols (GRE, IPSec, SSH, SSL)
* SAFe Agile methodologies Work Environment
* Primary location:
Chantilly, VA
* May require occasional travel for Program Increment planning sessions
* Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check and polygraph examination
* May require flexible scheduling to support critical operations
