Overview
This role involves gathering user network requirements through various methodologies to deliver essential technical documentation, system requirements, security requirements, and test plans. The position provides expertise in conducting systems analysis, certification and accreditation, integrating secure products, and performing security testing and evaluation. Candidates will develop and implement complex information systems that meet stringent security standards, applying broad knowledge of information systems security to support secure network infrastructure.
Education& Certification Requirements
A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates should possess certifications appropriate for senior-level network engineering roles.
Clearance RequirementsTop Secret/SCI CI Poly clearance is required for this position.
Onsite RequirementsThis role is on-site at a government facility in Chantilly.
Responsibilities- Gather and analyze user network requirements using multiple methodologies.
- Develop technical and system documentation, including requirements and test plans.
- Conduct systems analysis, certification, and accreditation activities.
- Integrate secure products and perform security test and evaluation procedures.
- Lead test event-based network security analysis and develop top-level requirements.
- Assess functional data and security performance to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Apply technical expertise to improve deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure.
- Possibly supervise team members and lead major technology assignments.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering and security.
- Expertise with Cisco and Arista networking equipment.
- Experience with on-premises, Linux, and AWS network environments.
- Ability to develop and implement system security requirements and test plans.
- Knowledge of systems analysis, certification, and accreditation processes.
- Experience with systems security within government or classified environments.
- Familiarity with complex information systems and security testing methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and supervise teams.
- Strong understanding of secure network integration and evaluation practices.
