Senior DevOps Engineer

Overview

Responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, and addressing interoperability issues of Dev Sec Ops  infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. This role oversees the primary Operations and Maintenance workforce across multiple tools, deploying and configuring services using infrastructure as a service provider, managing Linux-based servers to support dynamic websites, debugging cluster-based architectures, utilizing scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems, and installing and managing open-source monitoring tools.

The position requires technical expertise in a Security Clearance environment and aims to ensure robust and secure Dev Ops infrastructure.

A bachelor’s degree is required; candidates should have at least 8 years of relevant experience in Dev Ops or related technical roles.

Top Secret/SCI CI Poly clearance is required for this position.

This role is an onsite position at a government site in Chantilly.

• Design, deploy, and test Dev Sec Ops  infrastructure tools and components.
• Operate and maintain multiple tools, ensuring interoperability and security.
• Deploy and configure services using infrastructure as a service provider.
• Manage Linux servers supporting dynamic web environments.
• Debug cluster-based computing architectures and optimize performance.
• Use scripting or programming skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain open-source monitoring tools.
• Lead major technology assignments, evaluate performance, and recommend improvements.
• Supervise team members and provide technical expertise across projects.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Dev Ops or a related field.
• Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and managing Dev Sec Ops  tools.
• Experience with Linux server management and scripting.
• Familiarity with cluster architecture and open-source monitoring solutions.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as a service (IaaS) environments.
• Exposure to Nutanix HCI is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of security protocols and operational standards in a classified environment.

• Experience with Nutanix HCI solutions.
• Advanced scripting or programming abilities for automation and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated leadership in major technology deployments.
• Ability to evaluate and recommend significant technical improvements.
