Senior DevOps CM Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Dev Ops Engineer, you will be part of an Agile development team where you will support the architecture, development, configuration, and evaluation of signals intelligence, radar, and communications prototype development systems, related software systems, and development environments for our Navy customer. You will be instrumental in the engineering and advanced research and development associated with the full end-to-end development lifecycle.

Your area of work will include serving as a technical expert for efforts related to Dev Sec Ops  with a strong focus on Software CM implementations/standardizations as it relates to enhancing CI/CD, improving process reliability, and leveraging automation to enforce across on-premises and cloud deployment infrastructure.

• Ensure a promotional continuous deployment lifecycle
• Provide associated design documentation
• Ability to plan and execute hands-on Software CM projects to support design, development, implementation, and evaluation of processes and procedures
• Update Software CM Plan CDRL, customer interface, requirements development, design reviews, and technical exchanges
• Writing, designing and implementing Software CM processes and procedures for use across the program
• Work in a collaborative team environment that fosters knowledge sharing, best practice review and strong leadership support
• Configuration Management Planning, Configuration Item Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting, Verification and Audit of software baselines
• Initiate Configuration Management Processes to include identification of tools and procedures that follow industry best practices
• Lead Software CM CI/CD pipeline setup, enhancements, branching strategies, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot configuration management issues and implement solutions
• Interface directly with senior-level government clients and with Scrum Masters to implement best practices for agile software management
• Collaborate with PMs/schedulers to ensure IMS correctly tracks software and documentation deliverables
• Attend customer and program meetings, to include PMRs, TEMs, and scrum-related meetings
• Ability to integrate security tools and best practices into CI/CD pipeline for Dev Sec Ops
• Implement cloud and virtual on-premises development environments
• Ensure Software CM strategies and promotional deployments align with release strategy
• Provide multiple enclave support
• Support cyber security scans, hardening, and vulnerability analysis/remediations
• Container development and best practices
• Implement dynamic creation of builder nodes for Jenkins
• Facilitate OTA updates of fielded systems
• Administer Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or portions thereof
• Provide associated design documentation
• Mentor teammates as needed

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, or equivalent experience. Active TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility
• Willing to work onsite
• Ability to document processes and procedures
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a technical and/or development role
• Minimum 5 years’ experience administering and implementing development workflows, CI/CD solutions, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and security practices using common industry Dev Ops tooling
• Minimum 5 years’ experience developing on-premises or cloud infrastructure to support end-to-end development life cycles for team/customer initiatives
• Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems- preferably Red Hat Linux
• Demonstrated experience using Git
• Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following or similar:
  Ansible, Jenkins, Git Lab, JFrog Artifactory, Python, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Packer, Vagrant

• 10+ years' experience developing on-premises or cloud infrastructure to support team or customer initiatives and developing and deploying processes using CI/CD tools
• 7+ years' experience developing Infrastructure as Code / Configuration as Code (IaC/CaC) solutions
